Symptoms of prostatitis are similar to signs of dangerous diseases.Read them and don't delay seeing your doctor.

Prostatitis is an inflammatory disease of the prostate, or prostate, a purely male organ located below the bladder.
This gland is often called the "second heart" because it is responsible for performing many important functions in the male body.
Prostatitis is one of the most common diseases. For example, in the United States, the number of cases of prostatitis is 8% of all urological diseases.
Why do you need prostate?
The prostate performs the following functions:
- produces fluid that makes up the liquid portion of sperm,
- converts testosterone into its active form - dihydrotestosterone,
- Together with the muscles of the bladder neck, it forms the internal sphincter, which controls urination,
- Participation creates the feeling of orgasm.
The first signs of prostatitis
Symptoms of prostatitis: frequent and unbearable urge to urinate, burning and pain when urinating, difficulty urinating, feeling of incomplete bladder emptying, pain in the pelvis, groin and lower back.
When does prostatitis start?
In one form or another, prostatitis is observed in almost half of men after 30 years. But it can also appear in young people aged 18–20 years.
Factors that stimulate the development of prostatitis:
- chronic hypothermia,
- timely emptying of the bladder,
- disorders of the rhythm of sexual life (prolonged, irregular abstinence),
- frequently changing partners, having unsafe sex,
- Sedentary lifestyle causes impaired blood and lymph circulation in the pelvic organs,
- diseases of the genitourinary system,
- infectious diseases,
- smoking and drinking alcohol,
- injury,
- endocrine disorders,
- disruption of the immune system.
Types of prostatitis
Acute bacterial prostatitis is caused by damage to prostate tissue caused by pathogenic microorganisms: Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Proteus, Klebsiella, Staphylococcus aureus.
Many of these bacteria are representative of the human body's healthy microflora, living on the skin and in the intestines.
However, when they enter the tissue of the prostate, they can cause an inflammatory process.Bacteria often enter the prostate from the bladder or urethra.
Symptom:
- fever and chills,
- pain in the prostate area, groin and lower back,
- increased urge to urinate, difficulty and pain when urinating, feeling of incomplete bladder emptying, blood in urine,
- painful ejaculation,
- decreased sexual desire and erection quality due to severe pain and intoxication of the body.
If you experience any of these symptoms, consult your doctor immediately.Acute prostatitis requires urgent diagnosis and treatment.
Chronic bacterial prostatitis sometimes becomes a consequence of acute prostatitis.
Its appearance can also be triggered by trauma to the genitourinary system, bladder catheterization, or infection in other organs.
Symptom:
- frequent urge to urinate,
- pain and burning when urinating,
- pain in the pelvis, perineum,
- want to urinate at night,
- difficulty urinating,
- presence of blood in semen,
- painful ejaculation,
- Body temperature increases slightly.
Symptoms of chronic bacterial prostatitis develop gradually and often have periods of severity alternating with periods of calm. You cannot delay seeing a doctor: the disease requires qualified treatment.
Chronic bacterial prostatitis can be triggered by several factors:
- lifting heavy objects when the bladder is full (urine may reflux into the prostate),
- pelvic muscle spasms, leading to increased pressure in the prostate,
- Anatomic disorders in the genitourinary system, for example, narrowing of the urinary tract,
- permanent damage to the prostate.
Symptoms are similar to chronic bacterial prostatitis. The difference is revealed only by laboratory tests to detect infection.
Attention!
Symptoms of prostatitis are similar to signs of dangerous diseases such as cystitis, bladder cancer, and benign prostate tumors.
To effectively diagnose and treat these diseases as soon as possible, men who experience discomfort related to urination or sexual function should consult a doctor as soon as possible.
